Sharad Pawar took a jibe at PM Modi, asserting that the PM spends only 20 minutes in the Rajya Sabha during discussions on issues concerning the common people and policy decisions. Speaking at an event in Kolhapur, Pawar labeled Modi's act of bowing down at the door of the Parliament as "theatrics."

He accused the government of misusing central agencies like the ED and emphasized the need for a united stand against what he termed as "regressive" powers. Pawar highlighted concerns about the misuse of power, suppression of free speech, restrictions on free writing, and blockage of news channels in India, asserting that those in power are indifferent to attacks on fundamental rights.

Without directly naming the PM, Sharad Pawar condemned the harassment faced by leaders like the tribal chief minister in Jharkhand and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. He called for support to those who have been oppressed and urged like-minded progressive powers to unite. Pawar underscored the importance of fighting ideological battles with ideology, criticizing tendencies without any ideological foundation resorting to violence and unlawful acts.

As a key figure in the INDIA bloc, an alliance of opposition parties, Sharad Pawar emphasized the necessity of collective efforts to prevent the BJP from forming the government after the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
